A month after Dina Lohan was charged with felony DWI and fleeing the scene of a crash, Michael Lohan was arrested for allegedly abusing his estranged wife Kate Major. His arrest came a day after Major was arrested for allegedly drinking and driving.
Major’s aggravated DWI bust reportedly led to Lohan’s arrest in Southampton on Monday, Feb. 10.
According to reports, Major was arrested with a blood alcohol content triple the legal limit. The following day, Lohan was arrested for allegedly choking her. He was formally charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and harassment.
Police said Lohan was "verbally and physically abusive" to another individual at a Hampton Road residence. While he was in custody, Lohan suffered from chest pains and was temporarily transported to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital on the day of his arrest.
Major reportedly blew the whistle on Lohan following her DWI bust. Michael Lohan has vehemently denied the allegations to news outlets, though he was ordered to wear a GPS ankle bracelet as a precaution.
“He threw my phone,” Major allegedly said in a statement to police, according to reports. “Put his hand around the left side of my neck with his hand.
"My neck hurts and is bruised pushing into my throat in rage,” she continued to say in the police report. “He also grabbed my right wrist causing the hamster wheel to crack. My right wrist is bruised and sore.”
Following his arrest, Lohan was released on Tuesday, Feb. 11 following his arraignment in Southampton Village Justice Court.
